Sanitization

Regular usage of a water cooler requires periodic sanitation, thus securing consistency of water quality. In water coolers which are not cleaned, maintained, and sanitized regularly microbiological contamination may occur.

Only by carrying out regular sanitization can La Fantana guarantee the quality of consumed water via the water cooler device, as well as its use in safe and hygienic conditions.

Sanitization entails cleaning of the water cooler, followed by disinfection of all surfaces of the device that are in contact with water. La Fantana performs sanitization by ozone, using the ozone generator. Ozone generator is used in disinfection due to antibacterial characteristics of ozone.

Sanitization of the water cooler is an essential prerequisite for hygienic maintenance and it is performed according to standards set by the European Bottled Water Association (EBWA).

Sanitization is carried out by La Fantana personnel specially trained in cleaning and disinfecting the water cooler devices. The personnel performing sanitization meets requirements related to personal hygiene, using adequate procedures, equipment, and materials.

Cleaning and disinfection involve:

  • outer and inner water cooler surfaces;
  • tanks and all the pipes that water runs through;
  • faucets.

Disinfection of water cooler is aimed at elimination of microorganisms.

Sanitization at companies is recommended every three months.
